Open arms invited “Happy”
to find solace
within the security of your bosom
,
How did I get SOO Lucky?
.
This had become the one safe place where I could strip naked my inhibitions
.
and truly embody the carefree exhibition that allowed me to bare my soul
.
without worry or judgement. .
I was Blessed to find confidence in such a rare TRUST
.
that neither came easy nor was offered freely;
it was organic in nature and pure of heart,
.
possessing a genuine authenticity
that could only come from honest and sincere effort .
What did I do to deserve
the bitter-sweet vulnerability of this emotion that has taken hold of me? .
Unarmed and defenseless with my guard down,
deception disguised as empathetic love was subtly introduced
.
as the cost of betrayal came cheaply
to bring a slow and painful death
to the belief in what is beautiful. .
Surrounded by the ugliness of circumstances beyond my control
.
I am paralyzed and overwhelmed
as flames of anger engulf and consume
what remains of my already broken spirit. .
The hands of discontent drip crimson, behind the backs of the masses
.
as they squeeze the air from my lungs
leaving me to gasp my last breath before saying goodbye
.
to a life beyond and realizing
that I did not accidentally fall from Grace; .
.
you dropped me .
.
