Imagine being asked about a wrongdoing that you have nothing to do with and by that token nothing to hide. You can smile, 😃 answer truthfully without even breaking stride and possibly even laugh at the very insinuation #writelove ✍️💜 .
Now flip the script 😱 you are asked the same question but are guilty as sin 😳, you are NOT smiling 😡 but rather the opposite 🤬 let the games begin. .
From inception comes incredulous 🤭deflection “What would make you say that?” The question with a question
Seeking the benefit of more information to prolong, give time to think and delay investigation. .
Smiling hugs to segue subject changes are next up on deck preceded by a “don’t be silly” grab a cheek, give a peck. .
So far so good? .
Final stage when all else fails is when anger shows up ensuring love won’t prevail. .
Ready locked and loaded for bear opening with the indifference of “well I don’t care” .
Mind games suggesting overthinking and sanity checks, adding volume to empty proof, anything that sounds like something, showing everything and telling nothing .
Round and round in a perpetual circle ⭕️ of no progress adding insolence to injury in attempts to digress
CORNERED, fight or flight
you opt for the jaunt
replacing pain with your pleasure
stating “believe what you want” .

Have you ever known a relationship was over and either walked away physically (or in your head) but despite what you told yourself (or said out loud to others) about this so- called “letting go”, the relationship still lingered and ultimately undermined your freedom to make meaningful progress? . Sometimes reflex or emotional retaliation causes us to attempt forced release in response to others detaching themselves .
